Regeneration is usually the repair of a measurement probe after a collision. This applies primarily to workpiece measurement probes, which are most often damaged. These are probes with both optical signal transmission (Renishaw: OMP series and Heidenhain: TS series) and with radio signal transmission (Renishaw: RMP and Heidenhain: TT).
